Buckingham Palace announced that Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, who was recently forced to reduce her public obligations on the advice of doctors,

She will participate as she would have wished for Sunday's "memorial" ceremonies in London, but she gave up attending another event on Tuesday.

Buckingham Palace said in a statement that the Queen, who had expressed her "firm desire" to do so two weeks ago, will attend Sunday's ceremony at the memorial in London, explaining that she "will, as in previous years, attend the ceremony" from the balcony of the Foreign Office building.

The 95-year-old Queen, who spent a night in hospital last month, was forced to extend the rest period advised by doctors, forcing her to cancel her participation this Saturday in the Memorial Festival dedicated to honoring British and Commonwealth soldiers.

What will happen after the death of Queen Elizabeth II?

Queen Elizabeth II has been on a break since October 20, the day after a reception at Windsor Castle, where she appeared while speaking with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and American businessman Bill Gates.

She spent the next night in hospital, for the first time since 2013, for "initial examinations", which did not reveal any details about her.

"Based on the last advice of her doctors, the Queen has decided not to attend" the General Synod of the Church of England, which takes place on Tuesday 16 November, the statement added.

Buckingham Palace's delay in revealing the Queen's admission to hospital has raised questions about her health and accusations of lack of transparency.

Elizabeth II, in particular, had to cancel her trip to Glasgow to attend the United Nations climate conference (COP26), which ends Friday.

Elizabeth II, whose husband Prince Philip died in April at the age of 99, was recently seen walking with a cane for the first time since 2004.

The Queen was recently seen driving on her estate at Windsor Castle, about forty kilometers from London, now her main residence.
